Poet Laureate Book Launch Update:
Hey everyone. Today the fundraising team completed their sponsor letters and sent them out to Luz D. She has e-mailed them to parents and teachers. Now is the time (if you haven't already) to talk to your parents and teachers about the project you're working on and ask for donations! Ask them to look at their e-mail for the details.
Also, if you haven't checked out the website, click here. They are making a lot of progress, and this is something you can easily share with family and teachers.
8A -- Today each of you should have read through comments I made to your essays. In the lab, most of you made some good revisions. The next step is to take the revisions you did today and make editing changes. Copy the revised work as a new document titled ExpositoryEssay_Final and make edits using the Editing Checklist. We will work on this in class tomorrow. You will have three versions of your essay in your English Google Drive folder!
8B -- Today the groups worked really well on the project. We have a Daily Memo announcement, parent and teacher sponsor request letters out, posters and flyers up and out, the website has many poems up, and the book design is coming together. *Remember, you need your conclusion notes and writing rubric analogies tomorrow!
7 -- Today we looked at the writing rubric for our essay using a car analogy, and many of you created your own great analogies. Tomorrow we will evaluate example essays based on our analogies.
